南丫島位於香港島的西南面，面積約13.74平方公里，僅次大嶼山和香港島，是全香港第三大島嶼。南丫島東西兩邊均為海峽：分別為東面的東博寮海峽面對香港島南區，和西博寮海峽面對長洲，南面為南中國海，再南一點到達柦桿群島。
Lamma Island is located to the southwest of Hong Kong Island.
It has an area of 13.55 km² and is 7 kilometres in length. It is the third larger island in
Hong Kong. The northern village is called Yung Shue Wan (Banyan Tree Bay) and
the eastern village is called Sok Kwu Wan. Few people live on the southern part
of Lamma. Access for much of this part is by hiking or private boat. Sham Wan,
an important breeding site for sea turtles, is located there.
榕樹灣是香港南丫島西北的一個海灣，南丫島有70%居民住在榕樹灣一帶,近年吸引不少遊客到此遠足步行到索罟灣。

Yung Shue Wan is the
main population centre on Lamma Island, Hong Kong. It has a population of
approximately 6,000. In recent years, it attract many tourist hike to Sok Kwu
Wan.
